Hi! My name is Nishi Gujar, and I’m a Behavioral Technician at Bright Minds Consulting. In my role, I work directly with children with developmental and behavioral needs, helping them develop communication, social, and daily living skills. My responsibilities include running therapy sessions, tracking progress through data collection, and working closely with supervisors and families to support each child's growth.
I am currently an undergraduate Psychology student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and am pursuing a pre-medical path. I have always been passionate about medicine, psychology, therapy, and helping others. I am drawn to careers in healthcare because they combine science, problem-solving, and meaningful human connection. Being able to support individuals through challenges, advocate for their well-being, and make a positive impact in their lives is something that has always been important to me. After graduation, I plan to attend medical school and continue pursuing these interests.
Outside of school and work, I enjoy reading, hiking, painting, coloring, and spending time with my family and friends. These activities help me relax, regulate, and maintain a healthy balance in my life. Taking time for myself allows me to show up each day with patience, energy, and a positive mindset, which helps me be the best Behavioral Technician I can be for the children and families I support.
