Hello! My name is Karolina J, I'm a Registered Behavior Technician, or RBT. Currently, I am the lead RBT at Bright Minds! In this position I not only work with clients implementing programs set by the Behavior Analyst, but I also train other BTs or RBTs on note taking as well as program implementation, program how-to's, and session coverage when needed.
I have worked in the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) field since 2023. As a therapist, I help improve the lives of children with autism and their families. I do this by building great rapport with families so I can be trusted and help children through implementing goals and programs that were identified.
Education Background: I earned my bachelor's in early childhood education from Northeastern Illinois University in 2022 and am currently working on my master's in Applied Behavior Analysis from Capella University. I intend to graduate in the spring of 2027.
My “Why” is the clients I work with. I enjoy seeing the clients' skills grow and accomplish things that might have been hard to accomplish on their own before. It makes me happy to see the positive impact I can make on the child's life as well as their family's.
About me: I was born in Poland and came to the United States when I was 3 years old. I live in Algonquin IL with my parents, two younger brothers and a Yorkshire Terrier - who I've had since she was 6 weeks old and is now 13! Outside of work I enjoy going on nature walks in the summer and exploring different places, baking, and spending time with friends and family. These hobbies and interests are great at helping me reset and allow me to be more present with my clients and their families for meaningful therapy.
